Description
Embark on a local-female guided tour to explore the old towns of Dubai, while getting a glimpse of modern Dubai as well. Meet the guide at the Al Khayma Heritage Restaurant in the Al Fahidi Historical District to commence the tour.
Feel the warm Arab hospitality as the restaurant welcomes you with Arabic tea and dates as you enter the Heritage House with the guide. You also have the option to experience the flavors of Arabian snack specialties including ragag, luqaimat, and camel milk ice cream at the Heritage House.
Next, get a chance to learn more about the UAE history by taking a stroll around the traditional house. A copy of a classic Emirati tent, a typical Emirati bedroom, Irish palm front mansions, and an opportunity to capture beautiful photos adorning the Arabic attire, henna tattoo, etc are some of the activities that await you at the restaurant.
If the option is selected, you will also get a chance to relish Emirati lunch/dinner at the restaurant.
Another main highlight of the tour is an escorted walk through Al Seef & Al Fahidi, where you will see the architecture of the historic buildings. This is followed by a trip to the coffee museum. While visiting the museum, witness the live Arabic coffee-making demonstration and discover how important coffee is to UAE culture.
A scenic ride across the Dubai creek on a traditional abra is something that you will love on this tour. Discover the panoramic beauty of buildings on the ride before you get down at the other side of the creek, from where you will be escorted to explore the gold & spices souk. Soak in the aroma of varieties of spices and herbs and treat your eyes with the gold exhibits there.
